I have to start off by saying that I love that ABC is bringing back all the game shows that it has. My favorite one so far however has to be The Gong Show. There is a huge debate about the host of the show Tommy Maitland (@MrTommyMaitland). Is he really Mike Myers, is he not? I say why does it matter to people so much?
The show is just what Chuck Barris intended; dumb, stupid fun. It puts on ridiculous acts that you would never see anywhere else and just lets them have at it. A lot of people who watch the show are getting upset at how little talent some of the people have, but they don't seem to get that, THAT'S THE POINT! Turn off your brain and just enjoy. This isn't a real competition, it's ridiculous on purpose.
My only hope is that the show does well enough that they actually bring back the $1.98 beauty pageant as well. Oh boy wouldn't that get people worked up today...
